I am offically 39 weeks pregant and very ready for this baby to come. The carseat is in the car, the hospital bag is packed and I put some finishing touches on the nursery this weekend.

Just waiting...waiting...waiting.

Where has the past nine months gone? Are you mad at me for not posting updates? If you follow me on Facebook you have heard more from me.

I have not posted because, well to be honest - I don't like to complain, and if I had been posting along the way you would have heard a lot of complaining from me! :)

I will give you a quick recap of my pregnancy so my complaining is all in one post and then I will leave you with some pictures!! I promise more posts from here...and with only 2.5 weeks to go they will be happy new baby posts soon!!

So, the first trimester was pretty tough on me. If you have talked to me in person you have heard me say this. It is much harder being pregnant at 33 than it was at 26. My body is just really tired and sore! I had all day morning sickness - queasiness we will call it. It lasted all day thru the whole first trimester. 3 months is a really long time to feel sick! But the second trimester came soon enough and I started to feel a bit better...I was only queasy after I ate. Now at the end of the third trimester my biggest complaint is that my feet have been so swollen and sore. My doc, the funny guy that he is, tells me "Don't look at them and buy bigger shoes"! Nice, huh! :) This heat and humidity we have had this summer has kept me inside so I am defiantly going a little stir crazy!

Also, she has run out of room so my ribs are sore. Yes, I said she! We had 4 ultra sounds and it was not until this last one about a month ago we got a good enough look to feel pretty comfortable in saying it is a girl, even thu I have thought so all along! Her room has been pink for about 2 months now, Adam says that it will be one sissy little boy if we get a surprise! :)

We are very excited! Our family will be complete! Well...either way it would have been complete! No more pregnancies for this women! Other than my queasiness I have had a very good pregnancy, there have been no issues with my health or with the baby. All tests and such have been perfect.

Wesley has been so great thru this! In the beginning he would come into the bathroom and rub my back and tell me as I am sitting by the toilet to feel better mom. His first grade class was always updated of the progress. I later learned they frequently talked about me sitting by the toilet! He even brought the first ultra sound picture to show and tell. He is a very proud soon to be big brother. I think he was a little disappointed when he learned it was a girl. He says to me..."Well I suppose if I am nice to her she will be nice to me"!! I just love that!

My official due date is August 22nd, but I have thought all along that she will come early! My doc offered to induce me a few days early if I want. Mainly because I had such a hard getting Wesley out. We will see what happens that last week, I really would prefer to do it naturally.

Adam is leaving town this weekend for a motorcycle trip with the boys to Duluth so this little one needs to stay put for a few more days, then I will be trying all the wifes tales to get this process going! LOL!!

Halloween

I have never made a big deal out of Halloween. Sure we carve the pumpkins and go tricker treating but that was about it. This year we decided to go out with the adults for a little fun. And fun it was! Good food. Good company. Good cocktails. Too many cocktails. But it was FUN!

The Tooth Fairy Comes

Many of you that are my friends on facebook have already heard this story but I thought I would blog about it too. About 2 weeks ago Wesley lost his first tooth. He was so brave, we just wiggled it right out himself. He and I were talking about the tooth fairy, putting his tooth under his pillow. He then tells me that his friend that just lost his tooth got $5 from the tooth fairy! Wow, this tooth fairy was thinking $1. I think I got 50 cents per tooth when I was little!

Inflation I guess.

I was not sure how to handle it. I did get several people's feedback on facebook and it turns out the trend in our area is to give $5 for the first tooth and $1 for the others. Lucky kids!!!

Just gotta love this smile!

Hello Friends & Family. Wow, I have not blogged in a really long time. I have been posting on facebook pretty regularly but I think it is time to get back to blogging. We have a lot of catching up to do! I will start with a current post and I will update you all with our summer and fall adventures in my next posts.

Tonight we carved our Halloween pumpkins. Wesley actually wanted to help take the guts out this year, last year he would not touch it. It did take him a little while to warm up to the smell and he never really did dig in, I however had it everywhere.

We had a lot of fun, here's a few pictures.

Laundry - did ya see the laundry basket? Always doing laundry aren't we, I am so use to it there I didn't even notice until after we were done taking pictures. Too funny :)

I am pretty excited about Halloween this year, Adam and I will be dressing up and heading out on the town with our friends. We have not done that for years. It should be a good time! There will be pictures, I am sure of it!

Here are a few pictures of the wild night from Katie's Bachelorette party. These are the pictures I felt most appropriate to share online :) if you want the others you will need to come visit me, I will be happy to share. Just teasing you Katie. There are not any that are really bad - well other than the ones from the hot dog game. hehe

It was fun night! The night started out with a few hamburgers on the grill and a few Mai Tai's. The jello shots made the night interesting. And a little "hot dog" game made us laugh so hard. Especially when a little hot dog thief came along.

Then off to Chopper at Melvin's for a little dancing. What a great night.

I hope you had a magical Christmas and an exciting (and safe) New Year!

I am very much a goal orientated person so I always make New Year resolutions. In the past they have always been to lose weight or get more organized - the usual things. Because I still have not achieved those they are still on the list, however this year I have one I am excited about.

My 2010 New Year resolution is to become an excellent cook!

I have always been an open the box and stir it together kind of cook. LAZY, I know! Truth is I don't know how to cook! And I am too intimated to just jump in and try new recipes.

ENOUGH of that! Time to experient! I might keep a couple box meals on hand just incase as I get started. I do have to feed my family after all. :)

Did ya miss me?

Hello all! Wow it has been a long time since my last post.

Time to get back at it!

We have had a few ups and downs over the last few months.

I think we are getting it all worked out now.

So time to get back at my posts. Did ya miss me? I'm BACK!

I am getting really excited for the holidays. I just ♥ to decorate.

I know it is a bit early with Thanksgiving still 2 weeks away,
but today I took all the Christmas decorations out of storage and set up the outside lights. Don't give me any crap {Jen} - it was nice outside today! We don't know how long that will last!! :~)

Speaking of being nice out today, Wes and I played in the sandbox this afternoon. We are in Minnesota, right? What a beautiful day! No one tell mother nature it is November, I am liking this weather!

Kindergarten!

My little boy is now in kindergarten! How does that happen so fast? It has been an emotional couple of days for this mama!

First day of school, Wes is SO EXCITED, he very easily gets up and gets ready. As I am driving him to school he remembers his bus number, he remembers where his locker and class room are. He is so excited he can barely stay in his seat!

Hold it together a little while longer I tell myself, don't let him see you cry.

I ask him if he wants me to walk him to his locker, no he says he will walk in himself. So I drop him off and off he goes without looking back.

And I fall apart! A mess for the rest of the morning!

Then the bus...oh godness it is 3:00 and he is getting on the bus. I worry again...will he get on the right bus and will he get off at the right spot? Then I find out my niece gets on the wrong bus - OMG I am really nervous now!!

Needless to say he makes it home safely and had a really good first day. He was fast alseep on the couch by 8:00, he must have had a busy day!

Day 2 he wakes up...Mom did I miss the bus?? No Wes I am going to drive you to school today. That's OK mom, I want to ride the bus. So off he goes to ride the bus to school hopping to the bus stop, he is so excited he is dancing as he waits for the bus.

I think we are going to make it thru kindergarten!

Happy Anniversary!

Today is a special day for 2 reasons (there are many other reasons but I will only list two).

2 very special anniversaries today!

Unity Stamp Company is celebrating being in business for one year! Congrats Unity! You are amazing people and a company that is backed by love and the desire to give to others, you are a true inspiration... I love you guys!!

and...

Adam and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary today! It is hard to believe, the time has gone so fast. We have accomplished so much and have so much to be thankful for.

Happy Anniversary sweetie - I Love you!

We are off to the swimming pool for a nice relaxing soak in the pool and hot tub, then off to Shipwreck Beach where we will renew our vows using Hawaiian ritals of cleaning the past to have a fresh new start. I am SO excited! And then off into the sunset, literally, we will be going on a sunset dinner cruise to the Na Pali Coast.

Have you ever seen anything this powerful be so natural and tranquil? This is the Wailua Falls, a 80 foot waterfall made famous by being in the opening scene of Fantacy Island. It was unbelievable to see in person, I hope my little video does it justice.

We have decided that Hawaii is the most beautiful place on earth!! It is SO worth the 14 hours we spent in 3 airports! Today we spent the day driving around the east and north sides Kauai and taking in all the sites. Here are a few pictures of what we saw.

Counting down to HAWAII

It is so hard to believe that we leave for our big trip tomorrow! We head for the airport bright and early in the morning for a long day in 3 different airports. Hawaii here we come!! As I wrap up the final details of our trip I finding myself getting a little sentimental. We will be renewing our wedding vows while we are there. It is hard to believe that 10 years ago at this time I was finalizing the details for our wedding!

So I had to get out the wedding photos and share them with you...

Will you all forgive me?! Where has this last month went?

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! to all our family and friends that came to Wesley's birthday bowing party. I hope amist the Chaos! you enjoyed yourseves. I have decided while it was wonderful to not to have to cook and clean, 10 kids under the age of 5 is too many little ones for a party at the bowling alley!!

Wesley had a good time however and he received some great gifts, so again - thanks for coming!

Is it SPRING yet?

Hey everyone!
It has been so long since my last post...winter has been so long! January was such a COLD month that we stuck pretty close to home. I am loving this February rain tho! It feels like spring - wishful thinking...I know it is still weeks away. But it is much better than below zero!

A few things have happened recently. We booked our plane tickets to HAWAII! Its official, we are going to Kauai the last week of April to renew our vows and celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary! I am SO excited! Wes is pretty excited too, he will go with us. I am sad none of our family or friends will be able to go but it is a very expensive trip so I understand. Theres still time - let me know if you change your mind :)

I joined facebook and have connected with long lost family & several friends from school. That has been really great. It is so much fun to see what everyone is up to and see pictures of their family. If you are on facebook add me as a friend! If your not join, it is fun! My profile is on the left.

I became an auntie twice {kinda}! Adam's sister Katie & Tyler had a beautiful little girl Payton Leiann was born Jan 27th at 1:13pm, 7lbs 5oz, 19in and Jamie & Leanne had a very handsome little boy - Camden Tyler was born Dec 2nd 9:15am. 9 lbs 8 oz, 21.5 in. Wish I had pics to share. I left my camera home - what kind of auntie am I? Makes me want another baby :) Except the lack of sleep part they have both reminded me of!!

Wesley is doing really well. He is going thru a growth spurt, the kid has grown out of all his pants AGAIN! Jen, I have more jeans for you! He is already counting the days until his birthday. March 10th - 5 years old, where has the time gone? I am already starting to panic about kindergarten being right around the corner. My BABY cannot be going to kindergarten soon!!

Wesley goes running thru the house a week ago Friday morning waking me up...Mama! It is snowing outside! Can I go out to play? It normally takes me 20 minutes to get the kid dressed in the morning. Not that morning. He dresses himself in about 2 minutes! So off he went to play in the snow.

What do I do first?

Tech Support: The first step is to open your Heart. Have you located your Heart?

Customer: Yes, but there are several other programs running now. Is it okay to install Love while they are running?

Tech Support: What programs are running?

Customer: Let's see, I have Past Hurt, Low Self-Esteem, Grudge
and Resentment running right now.

Tech Support: No problem, Love will gradually erase Past Hurt from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory but it will no longer disrupt other programs. Love will eventually override Low Self-Esteem with a module of its own called High Self-Esteem. However, you have to completely turn off Grudge and Resentment. Those programs prevent Love from being properly installed. Can you turn those off?

Customer: I don't know how to turn them off. Can you tell me
how?

Tech Support: With pleasure. Go to your start menu and invoke Forgiveness. Do this as many times as necessary until Grudge and Resentment have been completely erased.

Customer: Okay, done! Love has started installing itself. Is
that normal?

Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other Hearts in order to get the upgrades.

Customer: Oops! I have an error message already. It says, "Error
- Program not run on external components." What should I do?

Tech Support: Don't worry. It means that the Love program is set up to run on Internal Hearts, but has not yet been run on your Heart. In non-technical terms, it simply means you have to Love yourself before you can Love others.

Customer: So, what should I do?

Tech Support: Pull down Self-Acceptance; then click on the following files: Forgive-Self; Realize Your Worth; and Acknowledge your Limitations.

Customer: Okay, done.

Tech Support: Now, copy them to the "My Heart" directory. The system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching faulty programming. Also, you need to delete Verbose Self-Criticism from all directories and empty your Recycle Bin to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.

Customer: Got it. Hey! My heart is filling up with new files.
Smile is playing on my monitor and Peace and Contentment are copying themselves all over My Heart. Is this normal?

Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes awhile, but eventually everything gets it at the proper time. So Love is installed and running. One more thing before we hang up. Love is Freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everyone you meet. They will in turn share it with others and return some cool modules back to you.

Customer: Thank you, God.

We miss you everyday! Wesley reminded me that it was almost Kathy's birthday about 3 weeks ago. I asked Wesley what he wanted to be for Halloween and he did not answer the question. He was quiet for a few seconds and then he said it is Kathy's birthday after Halloween and wanted to get her a present.
We decided to make her a card.

Jim, I hope you treated her real nice :)
And thank you Kathy for the Halloween card, Wes has asked me to read it to him at least twice now. It is hanging on our fridge next to the ghost he made at preschool by painting his foot white, stamping it on black paper and adding eyes. Too cute!

Fun! Fun! Fun! My wonderful sister Jen hooked us up with some Playhouse Disney tickets and Wesley and his cousin Carter had a blast. It was a full day of craziness...Chucky Cheese..okay next time it should be 2 adults per child-insane! then to see Mickey Mouse and friends. I have never laughed so hard, Wesley and Carter were dancing like wild men! Thanks Jen! We had a blast.

Home Safe

Hello all.

We made it home safely late last night. Thanks to Jen for picking us at the airport. We pulled into our driveway at 2am this morning. Good to be home, I have missed my bed! Wesley's clock quickly reset to its usual time. He was up at 7am like always, thankfully we all were able to take a 3 hour nap this afternoon! Thank goodness for Saturdays! The weather is beautiful outside (a little cooler than we are use to, but nice). I will write quick cuz we are going on a walk soon.

Here is a we did on our last few days on vacation.

Lets see where did I leave off...

Tuesday was allot of fun at the Turtle Hospital. It was sad to see all of the injured Turtles but happy to learn that most of them will get better and be release back to the ocean. There were bubble butt turtles, these turtles have usually eaten something like plastic that was thrown into the ocean. The plastic then blocks them up and all of the sea shells they eat get trapped inside them and they fill up with gases. These gases get trapped under their shells and causes them to have a bubble inside that floats them to the top of the water. If they are not rescued this will eventually kill them. But at the turtle hospital they give them a laxative to pass the blockage and slowly the gases work there way out and the bubble moves to the back (this is why they call it bubble butt) and passes! If they are treated they will make a full recovery. We also saw several turtles that have only 3 flippers because they were hit by a boat or caught in fishing line that was thrown into the ocean. They adapt and are able to swim just fine with 3 flippers. When we were there there was several turtles that were going back to their homes in the ocean that week. It was a very fun and educational trip. Wesley loved it!

Wednesday we traveled to mile marker 0 and shopped all day in Key West. This island is the farthest (southern) most point in the US. Key West is a busy Island, the party town. It is full of things to do. We spent the day shopping on Dueval Street, walking the beach and docks, and we eat at the Hardrock Cafe (good food). This was probably our busiest day all week by far. I found a few things I just loved, Wesley found some cute toys and Adam had fun browsing in Jimmy Buffet's Margertia Ville. A very fun day. We were very tired we when got back to the condo after all of the walking.

Thursday we spent the whole day at the pool. I believe Wesley has officially turned into a fish! Lots of sun, lots of laughs and good food at the Tiki Bar. We needed this day of rest after yesterday! I finally got that sun burn today. I think the sunblock rubbed off my back while I was sitting in the pool chair cause the 20 minutes I layed there on stomach was enough. Ouch! I does not feel good. Well I guess I am broke in for summer now :)

Friday sadly we packed the car, said good by to our condo and headed to Miami. We spent the day in Miami and at the Miami Zoo. The zoo was really fun. All of the animals are so close. We saw elephants, bears, zebras, lions, many other animals.

Looking back it was a great vacation! We were able to just relax. I didn't think about work or worry about anything back home. And that does not happen often for me.

Today to the Turtle Hospital

Hello!

We are having so much fun, where has the time gone?

Yesterday we visited the The Theatre of the Sea in Islandmorda and saw Sea Lion, Parrot and Dolphin shows. The shows were so up close and personal. And we watched the sharks being fed lunch. It was Awesome! We got great pictures we will post when we get home. Wesley bought a turtle egg and we have been waiting for it to hatch since yesterday. He checks it every time we return to the condo...no I haven't gone crazy...it is a plastic turtle that will hatch out!

It is a little cooler today, only 76 and breezy. We needed a day off from the sun. So far so good, no one is sunburned! That is a big accomplishment for us red heads!

Today we are off to the turtle hospital here in Marathon. There they rescue injured sea turtles and nurse them back to health in hopes to release them back to the ocean. Wesley is excited. I have to keep reminding them they are real turtles, not the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. JK! He laughs at me every time I saw that.

This vacation is turning out to be perfect! We are getting allot of sun, I have done allot of reading and relaxing on the pool chair and Wesley and Adam have swam in the pool everyday. They even did a late night swim yesterday.

Every night at our condo they have a sunset celebration. They blast a cannon right at sunset and then Wesley and I share a strawberry slush drink (dads has alcohol!). We sit on the hammock and watch the sunset. This has become our nightly ritual and I love it! If Wesley didn't miss Daisey so much we might just stay! Adam has checked the want ads a few times (as he always does when we go on vacation). He is convinced one day we will live in Florida.

Tonight there is going to be a pirate show at the poolside tiki bar at our condo. We are excited!

Made it Safely!

Hello Everyone from Sunny Florida!

We made it safely!

I want to give a Big THANK YOU to the Magnuson Boys for watching Ginger this week and to Faeth for watching Daisey. And another Big THANK YOU to Jen for Driving us to the Airport. You guys are the best, it is so nice to go and not have to worry about anything back home. So again THANK YOU!

It is beautiful here at our condo in Marathon Keys. The resort is fantastic, beautiful pool, tiki bar, dock and boats right here at the resort and the weather...sorry to rub it in but was 85 today!!

We had a nice flight and a nice drive. When we were flying over the Everglades to land in Miami Wesley said the funniest thing. All the people within an earshot chuckled. There was open water and vegetation in the Everglades. Wesley said Mom look the ice is cracking off the lakes. How cute is that! He has been such a trooper, we had a 3 1/2 hour flight and then a 4 hour drive and barely a wine out of him! Although mom had enough junk food and movies with to keep him busy. :)

Tomorrow we plan to spend a quiet day at the pool and maybe rent some waive runners, we will see how adventurous we are.

Wesley says HI to Grandma Laurie (MAMA T) and to Sawyer! And he misses Daisey.

Florida Keys

Florida Keys Here We Come!

Busy packing and repacking tonight. Do we ever have enough with us when we go? I seam to always forget something. Camera - check, swim suite - check, ahh...need the sunblock.
Can you believe we are going to get 10 inches of snow and its April 10th, where is spring. Glad to be getting out of here! I just got a call from our condo welcoming us and they say it is 82 there at 7:00 at night. PERFECT!
We will be leaving Saturday Morning and will be gone until the following Saturday. Our cell phone plan works in Florida so feel to call anytime!
We are coming home on American Airline, if you have been following the news you know that American has left over 2500 passengers stranded because they have grounded their planes for mechanical problems. I guess being stuck in Florida won't be terrible! :)
If I get time at the computer I will post some of our activies and I will post pictures when we get back.

I am SO excited! Sometimes things just seem to fall right into place and this was one of those things. I was researching things to do in Hawaii for our trip, something I do often. And I came across a site for a wedding planner. I sent her a short email to see what she had to offer. To my surprise she is from Minnesota and is now living in Kauai. Dear Family & Friends,

You have been so important to us and have shared in the many happy events of our lives over the past 10 years. We would like you to celebrate another one of those times with us. Please join us the week of April 25th thru May 2nd, 2009 in Hawaii. We will be celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary & renewing our wedding vows.
I have included information about the area in Hawaii we are staying in the links above the calendar at the bottom of this blog.
This is a family trip for us and it is important to us to have Wesley along on this trip, therefore your children are very welcome to come.
We have done some preliminary research on current airfare rates. We could fly round trip with one stop for $765.00 each person (today’s rates, not sure how they will change by next year). It is a 10-13 hour flight. Also, if you decide to bring your children all the airlines requires a child 2 years & older (or weight limit) to purchase a ticket at full price.
The ceremony will take place on Friday, May 1st, 2009. We will get you those details when the arrangements have been finalized. As far as activities while we are there, we are putting together a flexible and changeable itinerary for our family and you are very welcome to join us on all or some of the adventures. You are also very welcome to explore on your own. We want you to be there to celebrate with us and also understand that this will be your vacation too.
The car rental will very much depend on how many attend. We would like to share the expenses to make this trip possible for everyone. A mini van/SUV is a possibility or 2 larger cars could work too. This will again be determined when I know how many will be joining us.
Here’s the catch…we need to reserve the condos soon to get the best ocean side, adjoining rooms. We need your commitment to attend by April 1st. We do not need any money from you at that time. We will watch the airfare rates and sometime in January we will reserve the plane tickets. We plan to book all of the tickets at one time so we can travel together however we will need to be repaid at that time to avoid high interest charges on our credit card. Therefore you have about 9 months to save for the airfare. If you prefer to book yourself using a credit card let us know and we can coordinate that also.
You may know this about me; I am very much a planner. We will have a proposed itinerary posted on this blog as we find activities that interest us, we have begun our research already and keep looking here for updates and new info. Also know that we are very flexible and want your input as to activities we might want to do together while we are there. Anything can be changed other than the travel dates. We want you to feel comfortable and be a part of the whole process.
